Future History of the Athens Asylum

November 15 – 6:00 PM Southeast Ohio History Center

What will the asylum look like 150 years from today? For the sixth and final installment in our Athens Asylum Sesquicentennial Series, join Shawna Bolin, Assistant Vice President for University Planning and Joe Shields, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences, for a reflection on how the past 150 years have shaped the asylum’s current character and inform possible futures to be realized on its 300th anniversary.

This event is free and open to the public, thanks to the generous support of Ohio Humanities and Ohio University. Additional support comes from BDT Architects and Designers, Athens City Historic Preservation Commission, and the Athens County Commissioners.
